Diana's Recommendation
Mexico's Riviera Maya is the best of all possible worlds. Conveniently located just south of Cancun, the Riviera Maya is a world apart. With numerous all-inclusive 5-star resorts, the Riviera Maya has something for everyone from active families to couples wanting to get away from it all. The Iberostar Resorts are great for families and couples. A cluster of four resorts all in easy walking distance from each with exchange privileges between each opens up an array of restaurants and activities. The Iberostar Grand is a Luxury Resort for Adults only where the other three cater to everyone. These deluxe resorts take care of all your needs and ensure that the only thing you need to think about is relaxing or having fun. In additional to beautiful pools, fitness centers, and other amenities, you can choose from numerous specialty restaurants featuring Seafood, Japanese, Italian and French Cuisine. For dining and shopping away from the Resort, the town of Playa del Carmen is just minutes away. The Playasia Restaurant at the Blue Parrot resort offers an unforgettable International cuisine and atmosphere in your private tree house over looking jungle chic design and waterfalls. The atmosphere as well as the service and cuisine are unforgettable all accompanied by a live DJ that takes you on a nightly magical journey of music from around the world. I also suggest just being at the resort to just relax and enjoy the sun, the beautiful beach and kick back to begin sampling the long list of tropical drinks included with your stay. The resorts offer a variety of on site entertainment and special excursions to historical sites and local adventures or you can strike out on your own to explore the surrounding area. During my last trip I toured the amazing Mayan Ruins at Chichen Itza. This site was built over a millennium ago and was recently voted as one of the new "Seven Wonders of the World". This along with dozens of day trips from Cancun makes this a great destination for both the serious vacationer and the historically minded visitor to this part of Mexico. Where can I take you? |
